Back To Our Roots!

Calendula Oil Infusion

Close to ten years ago I created Creations from Eden (CfE) with the  intention of creating “Natural Products with Purpose” to help people heal themselves with what the earth has to offer.  Somewhere along the way I lost my focus on this very thing and although I continued creating something excellent, it does not represent who I am and the original reason for my hard work and dedication.  Through a lot of soul searching and meditation I have been brought back to the original purpose for the company and for what I believe to be my life purpose.  The picture accompanying this first post is representative of that very first herbal oil infusion I made for my daughter when cortisone creams and modern medicine just did not do the job on her diaper rash.   I was lead to the power of the earth through her needs and the Calendula Salve (affectionately referred to as Baby Butt Balm among our family) that healed her within days.

So how does this affect the company?  You will soon begin to see some changes in the products we offer and I hope to use this blog to share with you my knowledge in the realm of healing and the earth.  I also plan on furthering my education in natural healing and as I gain more knowledge and insight, I’ll be sharing this with you as well via recipes, blog posts, and consultations (if more depth is required).  We will be discontinuing some of the products that do not fall in line with this vision (mainly synthetics) and adding more healing herbs and aromatherapy products to our stock instead.  I will be spending more time creating and formulating products with more purpose and intent and sharing these recipes and my reason for making them.   Although I will still be overseeing the operations of the company, I plan on spending less time on the administration and more time on the actual vision aspect, as that is truly my passion.

I’ve made some incredible friendships through Creations from Eden in the past 10 years for which I am eternally grateful.  To many of you this all probably makes so much sense as you know who I am as an individual, without the company image.  For those of you that feel I am abandoning you, do keep in mind that I can bring in products (in bulk) for those of you that still have those requirements.  Also understand that I have been doing myself a disservice all these years by not following my heart.

So to my existing customers thank you for the ride!  I hope you continue with us into the future!  To our new customers… Hi!  I hope to create everlasting bonds with you as well!  2018 is going to be an excellent year and I hope to continue to see your faces in person, your messages on Facebook and I’m even trying to learn how to use Instagram and Twitter.  Please feel free to drop me a line and I will do my best to respond.  And if you have any questions about this post, please ask 🙂

Thank you to all!  Happy Creating!

PS… I am going to begin this blog signing my maiden name as a symbolic gesture of going back to my roots, plus I am soon changing my name back anyway.

  1. I found your company just a couple of days ago – during a recent trip to the UK,making your own lotions, shampoos etc was very popular , after a bit of research I understood why, so I came home and started to look for suppliers and was delighted to find an Edmonton company with the required supplies – I am going to start easy with Lip Balm!
I applaud you for re-focusing and going back to your roots

    • Thank you so much, Beryl!

There is something so empowering about being able to make your own skin care products. It adds to the repertoire of I can do anything! The less the world relies on others for things, the better. It’s nice to be able to buy things, but it’s also nice to know you can make your own 😁
